I was approached by the Smithsonian and NMAAHC to illustrate their first children's book! It was a whirlwind of a project that I completed in a matter of months. It is the kind of ABC book that I wish was around when I was a kid. It is extremely diverse, nearly every kind of person should be able to see themselves represented in this book. I hand-painted and scanned the backgrounds and did digital illustrations on top of those layers. The digital illustrations were completed using my Wacom Cintiq in Adobe PS.
